My career as a creative professional started as a freelance writer living in Mumbai, India and traveling southeast Asia. I wrote copy and essays and literally anything anyone would pay me for, and it was exciting, and stressful and, ultimately, lonely. After a few years, I found myself craving regular friendships and stable, boring days, and while I loved (and still love) writing, I moved home, hung up my pen, and got briefly into the commercial casting world - a comfortable groove after having been a teen actor. From there, I meandered my way into the music industry where I have labored with love for the past decade. As a studio producer, I found a niche for myself marrying my technical ability with my affinity for communication. But as the landscape of the music industry changes and I evolve, I feel myself being pulled toward new passions - video editing and animation - as well back to my original roots as a storyteller - writing and illustration.
